We continue our success streak with yet another Data Platform Day that took place on 2 March 2019 at Microsoft (Bellandur), Bengaluru. The multi-track, full-day event saw more than 100 attendees who attended 9 parallel sessions on Data Science, Azure, Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics, Database Administration and Development & Big Data.

The sessions began as usual at 9:00 AM with one room having session on “Machine Learning & AI on SQL Server & Azure Databases” by Don Rohan Castelino (Microsoft) & Shreya Aithal (Microsoft) and in the other room we had session on SQL Server Query Store by Mayank Khandelwal (Microsoft) & Naveen Kumar (Microsoft)

We then had a brief introduction of DataPlatformGeeks and made the attendees aware of our annual conference, Data Platform Summit 2019. #dps10

Summit – August 22, 23 & 24.

The sessions continued. We had a combined session on “Azure Cosmos DB” by Sudhir Rawat (Microsoft) for all the attendees before the lunch.

Our post lunch sessions began at 12: 45. “Data Modeling (SSAS Tabular Model)” by Umakant Khandekar (Microsoft) & Amiya Patra (Microsoft). Amal Sharma (Microsoft) & Sanjeev Kumar (Microsoft) took a session on Cluster Less and Domain Less AG. Followed by sessions on “Resource Optimization in IT Operational Analytics” and “Azure Data Studio” by Srinivas Reddy (Happiest Minds) and Shaurabh Thapa (Microsoft) & Supraja Murale (Microsoft) respectively.

Our last two session for March 2 DPD were on “Temporary Tables Vs Table Variables – SQL Server” by Satya Ramesh (SQLMaestros) and “Copy and Data Transformation in ADF” by Ashish Shukla (Microsoft).

After all the 9 sessions were completed it was time to give away the goodies to attendees via lucky draw to those who posted on social media using #dps10.
